I haven’t blogged for a while. I’ve been really busy. Just an update: I’ve been home from Europe 1 month today. I don’t have my pictures sorted, uploaded or printed. I have had 2 leg surgeries since I’ve been home and will have 2 more before school starts back. I’m not sure what classes I’ll be teaching yet, so I can’t prepare that much just yet. I guess that’s what in-service days are for. I have changed my mind on how I’m going to do my grades. Some students will be happy, others will not. But I contend that currently, testing is still the best measure of how much knowledge a student has gained. After all, us teachers are going to be graded on how well our students do on tests, then they need to step up to the plate and be able to perform on tests. Oh well, I’m probably preaching to the choir. I’ll write more beneficial information later on.
